PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapists prescribe treatment aimed at achieving the highest levels of physical functioning. Programs are developed to suit the needs of each patient. This includes assessment and intervention aimed at improving muscle strength, joint range, body balance, posture and independence in activities of daily living. Patients are under continual supervision and review.

Resources and information are provided to assist patients and their families to make informed decisions regarding their future care, rehabilitation and other needs.

HYDROTHERAPY

Warm water exercises may be employed to strengthen the muscles and improve balance and gait. Our hydrotherapy pool includes the benefit of a spa, allowing exercises to be carried out whilst walking against jets of water. The pool is designed to allow easy access by means of a gentle slope into the water, which can make wheelchair access possible. The physiotherapist supervises all pool sessions.

OTHER ALLIED HEALTH

Your day program is designed to achieve the highest level of independence. If required your day program may also include intervention from an occupational therapist, social worker and/or dietician.
