Dr Andrew Ashton is a Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Orange and services the Central West . Andrew has an interest in Hip, Knee, Shoulder, Trauma and Sports Surgery with experince in Australia, the United Kingdom and in the United States of America.  

Andrew studied Medicine at University of Newcastle then went on complete FRACS training in Orthopaedics through the Sydney and the NSW Advanced Training scheme. He then travelled at worked as a Fellow for a year at The New Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. He then visited specialty centres in UK including John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford), Royal Devon Hospital (Exeter), King Edward VII Hospital (London), St John and St Elizabeth Hospital (London). Andrew then went on to complete a travelling Fellowship in the USA visiting specialty centres including the Mayo Clinic (Rochester Minnesota), UCSF (San Francisco), AAOS (Chicago), AANA (Chicago), SCOI (Los Angeles), Hospital for Special Surgery (New York).

Andrews special interests include:

  • Hip, knee, shoulder joint and arthroscopic surgery
  • Work related injuries
  • Trauma
  • Sports medicine

Outside of work you will find Andrew spending time with his wife and three teenage children on their small farm, he enjoys staying fit, following rugby, biking, tennis, cricket, rowing, planning family travel.
