Dr Tiedgen is an Orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty focus on the upper limb (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder). After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2012 he trained at orthopaedic specialist centres throughout Sydney and NSW working closely with the country's leading upper limb surgeons. This included a year working at the Hand and Peripheral Nerve Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital. Upon completing orthopaedic surgical training he furthered his expertise in Hand, Wrist and Microsurgery by undertaking prestigious fellowships at St Lukes Hospital and at Sydney Hand Hospital. 

Dr Tiedgen is an expert at managing traumatic/sporting injuries and degenerative conditions of the upper limb. This includes arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement surgeries. 

His interests include the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome (open or endoscopic), dupuytren's disease, wrist arthroscopy, hand and wrist arthritis, elbow arthritis, rotator cuff repair and shoulder joint replacement. 

Dr Tiedgen fell in love with the Central West of NSW during his surgical training and is where he started his family with the birth of his first son. He enjoys the sense of community and genuine kindness of its residents. When Dr Tiedgen is not working, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife and his 2 boys.
